Vehicle Catches Fire in Collision on Rancho Avenue
COLTON, CA (February 9, 2019) – Major injuries were sustained in a multi-car crash on eastbound 10 Freeway, Saturday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 3:11 AM, just west of Rancho Avenue. Based on their report, four vehicles were involved in the crash. An unidentified vehicle caught fire in the accident.
The paramedics were called for needed medical attention. They confirmed that there were motorists who suffered injuries due to collision impact. The victims’ conditions were said to be serious.
The Hazmat team was called to clean up at least four gallons of oil scattered in the dirty part of the center divider. A clearing operation was conducted in the area.
Additional information will be released once it becomes available, as the cause of the accident still remains under investigation at this time.
