Car Catches Fire in Major Crash on Highway 29
NAPA, CA (June 27, 2019) – People sustained major injuries in a fiery car crash on Highway 29, Thursday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place just south of Oakville Grade. It happened at approximately 5:21 AM. Based on an initial report, police found the single vehicle on fire under the power lines. Police did not reveal details on what circumstance led to the accident.
Authorities arrived to remove all parties out of the vehicle. The paramedics arrived for needed medical attention. They reported that an unknown number of people sustained major injuries in the commotion.
Both northbound and southbound lanes of the highway closed while rescue. In addition, a crew came for a clearing operations in the area. Police did not release other details at this time.
