Major Injuries Sustained in DUI Crash on 15 Freeway [San Diego, CA]

DUI Driver Involved in Multi-Vehicle Collision near Carmel Mountain Road

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (February 25, 2019) – Major injuries were sustained in a DUI crash on northbound 15 Freeway, Monday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 11:57 PM, just south of Carmel Mountain Road. Based on an initial report, there were five vehicles involved in the incident. Airbags were deployed in a black Escalade, with two children inside it.
 
The paramedics were called for needed medical attention. They confirmed that major injuries were sustained in the incident.
 
A clearing operation was conducted in the area. An investigation showed that one of the involved drivers was drunk at the time of the incident. No additional information has been released to the public, as the case is currently under investigation by officials.
