Major Two-Vehicle Collision Reported near Park Boulevard
SAN DIEGO, CA (November 26, 2018) – Early Monday afternoon, major injuries were sustained in a crash on Highway 163.
According to officials with the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 12:00 PM, just north of Park Boulevard. Based on reports, the incident involved at least two vehicles. The parties were identified as a black BMW and a silver sedan, but the events leading up to the collision is unknown at this time.
Paramedics were requested to the scene for needed medical attention. After a rescue operation took place, major injuries were recorded in the incident. Specific details about the conditions of the victims were not released. A SigAlert was issued closing the No. 1 and 2 lanes for about an hour while clearing and recovery operations were performed in the area.
The cause of the accident was not yet been determined by the authorities. No other information has been disclosed to the public, as the investigation is ongoing.
