SANTA ROSA, CA (October 19, 2019) – Major injuries were sustained in a crash on Highway 101 southbound on late Friday night.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened at approximately 10:24 PM at Mendocino Avenue.
 
Based on a report, a white pickup truck collided with multiple vehicles before it struck the guardrails and landed in a ditch.
 
The paramedics were requested for rescue. One person was sent to Memorial Hospital Neighborhood for treatment of major injuries.
 
Nos. 2 and 3 lanes were closed while rescue and clearing operations took place in the area. However, the crash on Highway 101 remains under investigation.
