Two Vehicles Involved in Collision near Ford Street
REDLANDS, CA (September 11, 2018) – Major injuries were sustained late Tuesday morning, in a crash on the 10 Freeway.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 11:12 AM, just east of Ford Street. Officials stated that two vehicles were involved in the incident, a silver Chevrolet Sonic, and a gray Toyota Corolla. Both were blocking the middle lanes, with the Corolla facing sideways in the street.
Medics arrived at the scene shortly after the collision, to find one motorist with major injuries. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment and evaluation, but there is no update on their medical condition. No other injuries were reported in the incident.
Tow trucks were requested to the scene for a clearing operation, while officials performed a preliminary investigation. The cause of the collision and events leading up to the accident are currently unknown, and no further details have been disclosed to the public at this time.
