Postman Dies after Crashing into a Liquor Store on Jamacha Boulevard
Spring Valley, CA (April 8, 2020) – On Tuesday morning, a 50-year-old mailman was killed, while a customer sustained injuries in a crash into a liquor store on Jamacha Boulevard.
Officers first received reports of the crash around 11 a.m. on April 7. The CHP respondents arrived in the 9500 block of Jamacha Boulevard in La Presa.
According to reports, a postman was driving a mail truck when he suffered a medical emergency. He thus lost control of his vehicle and eventually crashed into a liquor store.
The fire department officers had to extricate the postman, who remained trapped in the wreckage.
Paramedics immediately transported him to Sharp Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa. However, he was pronounced dead while undergoing treatment.
Furthermore, upon crashing into the store, a customer sustained moderate injuries. This individual was taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego for immediate treatment.
Authorities have yet to disclose the identities of those involved. Once available, more details will be released.
