Maguire Vogel Dies in Tragic Motorcycle Crash on Marsha Sharp Freeway [Lubbock, TX]

Lubbock, TX (December 25, 2024) On Monday evening, a deadly motorcycle crash on Marsha Sharp Freeway claimed the life of 22-year-old Maguire Vogel.

According to Lubbock police (LPD), the horrific accident happened at about 5 p.m. on the 5300 block of Marsha Sharp Freeway.

Police say that the motorcycle crash that tragically claimed the life of a young man on Monday evening.

Authorities arrived at the westbound lanes of the Marsha Sharp Freeway to address the incident. Authorities reported that Vogel and 21-year-old Ceasar Espejo were riding separate motorcycles in the left lane of the freeway.

Investigators revealed that the motorcycles collided, causing Vogel to lose control and crash into a guardrail. The impact ejected Vogel from his motorcycle. Emergency responders transported him to UMC, where he succumbed to his serious injuries.

Espejo did not sustain any injuries in the collision.
