Afternoon 2-Vehicle Wreck on Avenue 7 in Madera Ends in Fatality
MADERA, CA (November 19, 2018) – At least one person was killed following a two-vehicle collision Monday afternoon in Madera.
The fatal collision happened around 4:37 p.m. on Avenue 7, just east of Highway 99. According to the California Highway Patrol, a white Chevrolet pickup truck and a white Honda CRX collided for unknown reasons. At least one occupant was trapped inside one of the vehicles.
Emergency crews and firefighters responded to the scene and worked on the extrication. Life-saving aid was also performed, but the report confirmed the fatality of the incident. The identity of the victim was not immediately available.
The Honda sedan sustained major side damage and was towed away from the wreckage along with the pickup truck.
Due to several factors remained unclear, investigation is ongoing.
