Semi-Truck Involved in Fatal Collision on Icy Highway near White Trail Road
QUINCY, WA (December 16, 2019) – The authorities confirmed that a woman, identified as Lynn Hoffman, was killed when a semi-truck hit a minivan on Highway 28 on early Monday night.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the incident happened near White Trail Road at approximately 6:00 PM.
Reports showed that the semi slid off the icy highway before it hit a Dodge Caravan. The minivan had slid into the ditch due to impact.
The paramedics confirmed that 64-year-old Hoffman died on the spot, while six others in the van were injured. An 11-year-old girl was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and the other five were taken to Quincy Valley Medical Center.
Roads closed while rescue, clearing, and an initial investigation took place in the area.
