Luke Alpoonarian Dead, Maria Vasquez Injured in Crash on East Jensen Avenue [Fresno, CA]

Maria Vasquez Hospitalized in Fatal Fresno Accident on South Temperance and East Jensen Avenue

FRESNO, CA (July 29, 2021) – Wednesday afternoon, Luke Alpoonarian, 26, died in a two-vehicle crash on South Temperance and East Jensen Avenue.

According to California Highway Patrol spokesman Mike Salas, the incident happened at around 4:08 p.m. Moreover, it occurred at South Temperance and East Jensen avenues.

Reports revealed that a westbound Kia Forte ran a red light. Then, it collided and T-boned a Toyota Highlander, driven by Maria Vasquez, as it turned left onto eastbound Jensen.

Furthermore, responders transported the 26-year-old male Kia Forte driver and the 63-year-old female Toyota Highlander driver to Community Regional Medical. Moreover, both of them sustained major injuries.

Also, authorities confirmed that the Kia driver, Mr. Alpoonarian later died. Reports confirmed that the Fresno man failed to wear their seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Moreover, officers do not believe that drugs and alcohol played a role in the East Jensen crash.
