Motorcyclist Luis Reyes Garcia Killed in Collision on Interstate 5 [Lakewood, WA]

Lakewood, WA (July 1, 2024) – 25-year-old Luis Reyes Garcia from Auburn was killed in a motorcycle collision on Interstate 5 Saturday night.

It was about 7:20 p.m. when the fatal crash happened when Reyes Garcia was speeding north on the freeway. The authorities said he attempted a lane change and crashed into a vehicle. 

Reyes Garcia then drove onto another lane and struck another vehicle. 

The motorcycle and the first vehicle Reyes Garcia had struck rested on the left shoulder while the other vehicle stopped on the right shoulder.

Responding officers declared Luis Reyes Garcia deceased at the crash scene while a driver and passenger involved in the collision were treated at the scene.
