Injuries Reported in Waco Auto Accident on 1100 South 18th Street

WACO, TX (December 12, 2023) – On Sunday, authorities arrested Luis Raul Sarricolea-Sabido after an alarming hit-and-run crash on 1100 South 18th Street.

The incident happened at the 1100 block of South 18th Street.

According to Waco Police Department spokesperson Cierra Shipley, a southbound 2005 Nissan Titan pickup ran a red light and struck a 2012 model Ford F-150. Then, the driver of the Nissan fled the scene on foot after the incident.

Moreover, officers confirmed that the occupants of the Ford sustained injuries in the collision.

Furthermore, authorities managed to locate and arrest the 62-year-old driver of the Nissan just a few blocks from the scene. Also, officials said that the suspect is being held at McLennan County Jail on state felony jail charges of collision involving injury.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the Waco Police Department continued to investigate the crash.
