FRENO, CA (October 18, 2024) – Wednesday night, Luis Hidalgo Corado died in a tragic pedestrian crash on Villa and Olive Avenue.

The incident happened at around 8:10 p.m. on Villa and Olive Avenue.

According to the Fresno Police Department, a westbound vehicle struck a pedestrian for unknown reasons. Then, a second vehicle struck the victim who was already down in the pavement. Also, the second vehicle fled the scene without stopping to provide aid.

Authorities confirmed that the pedestrian, identified as 28-year-old Corado, dead at the scene.

Officers said that the hit-and-run vehicle is best described as a mid-sized sedan.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
