2 People Dead in San Jacinto Auto Accident on Ramona Expressway near Warren Road

SAN JACINTO, CA (October 18, 2023) – Monday morning, Luis Bates and another person died in a devastating traffic crash on Ramona Expressway.

Reports said that the incident happened at around 6:30 a.m. on Ramona Expressway, west of Warren Road.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, an eastbound SUV traveling at a high rate of speed attempted to pass another vehicle but collided with the center median. Then, the force of the crash pushed the SUV toward oncoming traffic and collided with a utility truck before crossing back into the eastbound lane where it struck another vehicle.

Moreover, responders pronounced the two occupants of the SUV, dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported the two other drivers involved to a hospital with moderate injuries.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department continued to investigate the crash.
