1 Killed in Fresno DUI Car Accident on V Street

 
FRESNO, CA (August 3, 2020) – On Saturday night, authorities arrested Luis Amezcua after a fatal crash on V Street.
 
The incident happened at about 7:30 p.m. on V Street and 9th Street. The crash resulted in the closure of the intersection for several hours.
 
According to officers, 22-year-old Luis Amezcua drove under the influence, failed to yield at a stop sign, and struck two cars.
 
Due to the crash, one of the vehicles crashed into a power pole.
 
Moreover, the authorities revealed that a passenger from Luis Amezcua’s car succumbed to injuries. Meanwhile, another passenger sustained major injuries.
 
The police arrested Luis Amezcua for DUI, hit and run, and vehicular manslaughter.
 
Furthermore, the authorities confirmed that no other person suffered a serious injury in the collision.
