SAN JOSE, CA (February 24, 2022) – Last Monday, Lucy Prieto Frescas died after sustaining injuries in a crash on Senter Road earlier this month.
 
The incident occurred at around 5:53 p.m. on February 9th. Moreover, it happened on Senter Road and Needles Drive.
 
According to reports, 59-year-old Lucy Prieto Frescas was barred from boarding the bus because she wasn’t wearing a face mask. Then, she tripped and fell at the bus stop. However, the bus’s back tires ran her over as the driver pulled away from the curb.
 
At this time, the authorities haven’t identified what caused Frescas to trip and fall.
 
Meanwhile, responders took her to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. However, last Monday, Lucy Prieto Frescas died at the hospital.
 
Also, officers confirmed that the bus driver cooperated with the investigation and has released a statement.
