Phoenix, AZ (February 12, 2023) – Saturday night, 36-year-old Lucian Mosoianu died in a DUI crash on 83rd Avenue and McDowell Road.

The fatal DUI crash in Phoenix happened around 8:34 on February 11. 

Phoenix Police said an SUV hit a man. Officers found him with severe injuries and later died at the crash scene.

Investigators said the driver was headed west on McDowell Road when he hit the man who was crossing diagonally across the intersection.

The motorist was arrested for DUI after being found to be intoxicated at the scene and was later released.

Further investigation into this Phoenix crash is underway.
