Injuries Reported in Fatal Head-On Collision on Old Woman Springs Road
Lucerne Valley, CA (February 3, 2024) On Thursday afternoon, 20-year-old Luamata Halaholo died and 3 others were hurt in a 2-car crash on Highway 247.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the fatal head-on collision happened around 4:11 p.m. on Old Woman Springs Road (State Route 247)
Reports say that a red Toyota Camry and a black unknown sedan were involved in the deadly crash.
Officials say that Halaholo, a male passenger in the black sedan, was trapped inside the vehicle and ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver of the black sedan, and the driver and passenger of the Toyota, a man and a woman, suffered injuries and were taken to the hospital for immediate treatment.
CHP is investigating the fatal head-on collision and has not released further information at this time.
