Deadly Pedestrian Crash between the Slater Road and W Bakerview Road
Bellingham, WA (October 7, 2022) On Friday morning, 68-year-old Lowell Mase of Bellingham was arrested after a fatal DUI crash on Interstate 5.
The Washington State Patrol (WSP) say that the deadly pedestrian crash happened at around 6:30 a.m. between the Slater Road and W Bakerview Road interchange.
Reports say that Mase was driving the southbound 1998 Ford Ranger that fatally struck the pedestrian. Authorities say that Mase began inexplicably drove on the right shoulder.
