DUI Driver Stefanie Bieser Arrested in Pedestrian Crash at Disneyland Drive and Katella Avenue
ANAHEIM, CA (February 9, 2019) – A man was killed in a pedestrian DUI crash late Sunday evening in Anaheim.
The fatal crash happened just after 11:00 p.m. at Disneyland Drive and Katella Avenue. According to Anaheim police, the man was walking southbound on the east sidewalk of Disneyland Drive when a northbound 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser jumped a curb and struck him, as well as a tree and a utility box.
The victim suffered severe injuries and was rushed to UC Irvine Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. He was later identified as Louis Rosales, 54, of Fresno.
The driver of the Chrysler, a 47-year-old Stefanie Lyn Bieser of La Mirada, was arrested on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs causing bodily injury.
Bieser was being held at the Anaheim Detention Facility in lieu of posting bond on $100,000 bail, police said.
Northbound Disneyland Drive was closed at Katella Avenue during the investigation.
