1 Dead and 1 Injured after 2-Vehicle Crash on State Route 97 Yakima County
Yakima County, WA (October 30, 2023) – On Sunday, 85-year-old Louie H. Adcock of Yakima died after a 2-vehicle Crash on State Route 97.
The incident occurred on October 25th around 1 p.m.
Washington State Patrol said a Lacey woman, aged 52, sustained injuries after the collision with her passenger, an 85-year-old man identified as Louie H. Adcock of Yakima, tragically passing away later.
Reportedly, the Lacey woman was heading north on State Route 97 while a 46-year-old Wapato man traveled southbound on the same route but intended to turn left onto Lateral Road 1.
The Wapato driver neglected to yield the right of way, resulting in a collision with the vehicle driven by the Lacey woman.
As a result, the Lacey woman sustained injuries and was subsequently transported to Multicare Yakima Memorial for medical attention.
The Wapato man did not sustain any injuries.
Further investigation into this crash is ongoing.
