Early Morning Collision on 10 Freeway in Downtown Los Angeles Kills One Motorist
LOS ANGELES, CA (February 1, 2019) – One person was killed following a two-vehicle collision early Friday morning on westbound 10 Freeway in downtown Los Angeles.
The fatal collision happened around 1:45 near San Pedro Street off-ramp.
Law enforcement arrived on the scene and found a tow truck on top of a Honda with the driver trapped inside. Both vehicles were blocking the off-ramp.
Responding emergency crews pronounced the driver of the Honda dead at the scene. He was only identified as a 41-year-old man.
No passengers were found inside the vehicle.
It was unclear if the tow truck driver suffered any injuries in the crash.
No additional information was provided at this time. Further investigation of this incident is underway.
