LOS ANGELES, CA (January 30, 2018) – A basket of a cherry-picker came in contact with power lines on the 300 block of 87th Place on Tuesday evening around 6:50 PM, killing one and injuring another.
Amy Bastman of the Los Angeles Fire Department said that a 17-year-old boy that was in the basket and jumped about 15-20 feet down onto a corrugated metal building. He sustained injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, and was reported to be in stable condition.
The 22-year-old victim was electrocuted and remained in the boom basket.
