LOS ANGELES, CA – Cyclist Fatally Injured in Accident on Avalon Boulevard

60-Year-Old Man Struck by Several Vehicles at Intersection of Avalon and E Century Boulevards

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (April 16, 2018) – A 60-year-old bicyclist was fatally injured when struck by multiple cars at Avalon Boulevard, early Monday morning.
 
According to the Traffic Division of the Los Angeles Police Department, the collision happened just after midnight at the intersection of Avalon and East Century Boulevards. Responders arrived at the crash site to find the victim in the road. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
In the initial reports, a vehicle first hit the man and drove off. It was then followed by several more cars, all of which fled from the scene.
 
It is still unknown how many vehicles were involved in the tragic collision. The cyclist’s identification, along with other important information, is still not available to the public at this time.
