Woman Fatally Injured in Pedestrian Collision on Ball Road and Bloomfield Street
LOS ALAMITOS, CA (February 24, 2018) – A woman succumbed to her injuries after being struck in a pedestrian collision on Ball Road and Bloomfield Street on Saturday night.
According to Los Alamitos Police Department Capt. Chris Karrer, officers were dispatched to the intersection of Ball Road and Bloomfield Street at around 8:27 PM. The injured female pedestrian was found just west of the intersection in the roadway.
The woman died while being transported to a hospital by Orange County Fire Authority paramedics. Her identity was not immediately disclosed to the public.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Authorities determined that alcohol or drugs were not involved in the incident.
