Officers Arrest Suspect Driver in Marina Deadly Collision
Marina, CA (January 30, 2024) – 64-year-old Lornezo Alvarado Barron of Marina was killed following a Reservation Road collision Sunday night.
The fatal collision unfolded around 6:21 p.m. in the 300-block area.
Responding officers located Alvarado Barron suffering from serious injuries. Immediately, he was transported to a local trauma center where he succumbed to his injuries.
Moreover, the involved driver, 21-year-old Daniel Serrano remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation.
The authorities arrested and booked him into the Monterey County Jail on driving under the influence causing injury and involuntary manslaughter charges.
Marina Police closed Reservation Road for multiple hours while they investigated the traffic accident.
