Glendale, AZ (October 4, 2022) On Monday morning, a fatal accident on Loop 101 claimed the life of a motorcyclist.

Arizona Department of Public Safety officials say that the fatal traffic collision happened near 67th Avenue.

Reports say that the fatal crash happened overnight in the westbound lanes of Loop 101. Officials say that the motorcyclist was already down in the roadway when a passing vehicle hit the rider.

Authorities closed part of the freeway for the investigation and DPS reopened it aroudn 5 a.m.
