Long Ta of Santa Ana Dies in Edinger Avenue Hit-and-Run Crash [Fountain Valley, CA]

Fountain Valley, CA (September 15, 2021) – On Saturday, 34-year-old Long Ta of Santa Ana died in a hit-and-run crash on Edinger Avenue.

The fatal crash took place at about 6:20 a.m. at the intersection with Ward Street.

Investigating officers said Ta was crossing the Edinger Avenue toward Ward Street in the crosswalk on a green walk signal.

Just then, an SUV ran a red light and struck Ta. The vehicle did not stop and was last seen westbound on Edinger Avenue.

Ta suffered traumatic injuries in the accident and succumed to injuries at the hospital two days later.

Meanwhile, the investigators  combed through surveillance video footage . They said the possible suspect vehicle is a dark-colored 1991-1995 Chrysler or Dodge minivan that may have sustained left, front-end damage.
