Wasco Doughnut Shop Owner Killed in Head-on Crash on Kansas Avenue in Hanford

 
Hanford, CA (May 3, 2021) – Friday evening, donut shop owner Lon Mam died in a two-vehicle crash on Kansas Avenue and 11th Avenue.
 
The Hanford fatal crash happened at around 6:52 p.m on April 30.
 
The California Highway Patrol responded and located two vehicles and two men who had suffered fatal injuries.
 
Reportedly, a 29-year-old man from Tulare headed eastbound on Kansas Avenue in a 2010 Chevrolet at high speed, while a 64-year-old Lon Mam of Wasco drove a 2008 Toyota westbound on Kansas.
 
Moreover, for unknown reasons, the Chevy driver entered the westbound lane directly into the path of the Toyota.
 
However, the Toyota driver was unable to avoid the vehicle, and it collided with the left front end of the Chevy.
 
CHP said alcohol or drugs might have factored into this Kansas Avenue and 11th Avenue fatal crash.
 
Police continue to investigate for further details.
 
The family of Lon Mam confirmed his death with 17 news.
Furthermore, a small memorial was set up in front of his Donuts To Go Wasco shop.
 
There is still no word on whether a GoFundMe is being set up for the Mam family.
