Oakdale Crash Kills Lois Sipe of Oakdale
Oakdale, CA (August 13, 2021) – On Wednesday, 61-year-old Lois Sipe of Oakdale died, while 65-year-old Trisha Lewis of Jamestown, was involved in a motorcycle crash on Highway 120.
It was just minutes before 10 p.m. when the fatal accident happened west of Valley Home Road.
The Prius driver, Lewis was eastbound behind a pickup towing a trailer at speeds of about 55 mph. At the same time, Sipe was westbound on her Kawasaki Vulcan.
Lewis was trying to pass the pickup, she pulled into the westbound lane into the path of Sipe.
As a result, Lewis and Sipe collided head-on.Sipe was ejected from her motorcycle while the Prius spun and overturned.
Moreover, Sipe was wearing a helmet during the crash. However, she sustained major injuries and died at the accident scene.
On the other hand, Lewis was not injured in the accident.
Moreover, officers said drugs and/or alcohol do not appear to be factors in the accident.
