Shady Torres Arrested for Day Street and Bay Avenue Crash that Killed Winchester Teen
Moreno Valley, CA (May 27, 2021) – Wednesday afternoon, 17-year-old Logan Edwards from Winchester died in a two-vehicle crash on Day Street and Bay Avenue.
The Moreno Valley fatal crash happened at around 3:10 p.m on May 26.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said the crash involved a Ford Edge and a Toyota Corolla.
Reportedly, Torres in the Toyota was speeding east on Bay, approaching Day, then failed to stop for a stop sign and struck the Ford, causing it to collide with a residential fence.
As a result, the Toyota driver was hospitalized for moderate injuries. However, the Ford’s driver, Edwards, sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene.
Later reports by the police revealed that Ms. Torres, of Moreno Valley, has been arrested and is being charged with second-degree murder.
The investigation into this Bay Street and Bay Avenue accident is ongoing.
