Isaiah Garrett Dies, Lloyd Marcus Injured in Llano Crash
Llano, CA (September 15, 2021) – On Friday, 43-year-old Lloyd Marcus of Banning suffered injuries while 19-year-old Isaiah Garrett of Palmdale dies in a head-on crash on State Route 138.
The fatal crash took place at around 5:12 p.m. west of Fort Tejon Road.
Officers said Garrett was eastbound in a 2008 Nissan Altima when his vehicle swerved to the left and entered the westbound traffic lane.
As a result, the Nissan crashed with a westbound 2021 Ram 1500.
Officers pronounced Garrett dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, there were two occupants in the Ram, and both of them suffered major injuries.
Rescuers took Marcus, the driver, to Northridge Hospital for treatment.
They also took the passenger, 41-year-old Clarissa Leimis of Banning to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.
Officers do not consider alcohol and/or drugs as a factor in this crash.
