Morning Collision with Big Rig on 580 Freeway in Livermore Leaves One Injured
LIVERMORE, CA (February 6, 2019) – A man was injured following a traffic collision between a big rig and a sedan Wednesday morning in Livermore.
The collision happened around 6:30 a.m. on westbound 580 Freeway at North Livermore Avenue off-ramp.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the big rig and a silver Honda Civic collided for unknown reasons. The male driver of the Honda sedan suffered a head injury as a result of the accident.
Emergency crews immediately responded and took the man to a hospital for proper treatment.
The impact also caused major rear damage on the Honda and towing services were requested to remove the car from the wreckage.
Firefighters blocked the slow lane while the documented the collision scene.
