Lisa Sauerberg and 4 Others Injured in Deadly Crash on State Route 86 [Salton City, CA]

1 Killed and 5 Hurt in Salton City Accident on State Route 86 and Norm Niver Road

 
SALTON CITY, CA (February 8, 2022) – Sunday morning, Lisa Sauerberg and four others sustained injuries in a deadly crash on State Route 86.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on State Route 86 and Norm Niver Road.
 
Reports revealed that a southbound Dodge Avenger collided with a Traverse for still unknown reasons.
 
Moreover, officials confirmed that a passenger of the Traverse, a 57-year-old Brawley woman, sustained fatal injuries in the collision.
 
Then, responders transported the Traverse driver, 46-year-old Lisa Sauerberg, and her passenger, 32-year-old Vanessa Miranda to El Centro Regional Medical Center. Two more passengers of the Traverse, 57-year-old Irene Valles, and 56-year-old Mary Vallesgarcia went to Pioneers Memorial Hospital. Authorities said that all four occupants of the Traverse sustained major injuries in the incident.
 
Furthermore, paramedics airlifted the Dodge driver, 58-year-old Antonio Gamboa to Desert Regional Medical Center with major injuries.
 
Meanwhile, officers said that the four passengers of the Traverse didn’t wear seatbelts at the time of the crash. Also, the driver was the only restrained occupant of the vehicle.
