Passenger Pronounced Dead on Sullivan Road Auto Collision
Gustine, CA (April 23, 2020)– Wednesday afternoon, a 26-year-old man was killed while Lisa Chavez sustained injuries in a two-vehicle collision on Sullivan Road.
The CHP responded after receiving accident reports at 4:25 p.m., on April 23 which occurred on Sullivan Road near Gustine.
Reportedly, a 23-year old Lisa Chavez driving a 1996 Acura Integra with her passenger both from San Jose, were traveling northbound on Highway 33 when she attempted a left turn onto Sullivan Road.
There, she turned directly to a southbound 2017 Nissan Sentra colliding with the passenger side of her vehicle.
Due to the impact, the passenger pronounced dead at the scene while Chavez sustained injuries and was taken by ambulance to Los Banos Memorial Hospital.
Meanwhile, the 25-year-old Santa Nella man driving the Nissan remained uninjured.
Further so, officials said all three people were wearing seatbelts, and neither drugs or alcohol were potential factors in the collision.
