Jedediah Choate Injured in Fatal Two-Car Collision near Road 212
TULARE COUNTY, CA (October 24, 2018) – A Lindsay man was killed Wednesday afternoon following a two-vehicle crash on Avenue 245. The identity of the 43-year-old victim is being withheld, pending family notification.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident took place at about 3:30 PM. A 2006 Chevrolet pickup was approaching Road 212 when it failed to yield for a stop sign and drove in front of a Ford Ranger pickup.
The impact of the crash caused the Chevrolet to crash into a large tree, while the Ford rolled over multiple times.
The Chevrolet driver suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the Ford driver, identified as 37-year-old Jedediah Choate of Exeter, was hospitalized with minor injuries. Further updates on his current medical condition were not provided.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the fatal crash and to identify other possible contributing factors. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
