Linda Smythe Dies in Bicycle Accident in Irvine
Irvine, CA (May 25, 2020) – On Monday morning, 70 year old Lynda Smythe tragically died after being hit by a car on Portola Parkway.
California Highway Patrol was quickly on the scene of a bicycle collision resulting in Linda Smythe’s passing.
The crash happened at about 10:00 am on Portola Parkway near Highway 261.
Initial reports indicate that Linda Smythe was riding her bicycle on Portola Parkway. Then, a a grey Mercedes ML 350 hit her.
After colliding with the Mercedes, Linda Smythe passed away at the scene.
When the incident occurred, the driver of the Mercedes reportedly stayed on the scene and cooperated with authorities.
Next, the Orange County Coroner’s Office identified the bicyclist as Linda Smythe.
