Woman Dies in Kroger’s Pedestrian Crash
Arlington, TX (April 5, 2024) – 62-year-old Linda Kay Brown of Arlington was killed following a SE Green Oaks Boulevard accident.
It was about 3:42 p.m. when the fatal crash happened in the 2300 block area.
Investigators said a pickup truck driver was traveling south on Kroger‘s parking lot toward the front entrance when the vehicle stopped near the end of the row and turned east when it hit the victim. Officers said Brown had just gotten out of the store and was walking in the parking lot when she was hit.
The pickup truck driver immediately stopped and assisted Brown.
When the rescuers arrived, they rushed the pedestrian to a nearby hospital where she was declared deceased.
Troopers said speed and alcohol were contributing factors in the accident.
This fatal traffic accident is under investigation.
