Lim Paz of Menifee Loses Life in Interstate 215 Rear-End Collision [Menifee, CA]

Menifee, CA (May 20, 2023) – On Thursday, Lim Paz, 62, of Menifee, died following an Interstate 215 rear-end collision.

The fatal accident took place before 10 p.m. on the northbound freeway at Scott Road.

Investigating officers said Paz was driving a 2008 Toyota Camry that stopped when traffic came to a halt due to a freeway obstruction.

At the same time, an unidentified 61-year-old Murrieta woman was driving her northbound 2019 Dodge Ram pickup. The woman failed to stop when the vehicles ahead of her stopped.

The Dodge rear-ended the Toyota at a high rate of speed. As a result, the car sustained major damage and lost control. The Toyota came underneath a 2023 Freightliner tractor-trailer.

The pickup sideswiped a Nissan Quest before it stopped in lanes.

Riverside County Fire Department crews extricated Paz from the wreckage and declared her dead at the scene.
