PHOENIX, AZ (October 1, 2024) – Saturday morning, Liliana Rivera-Cruz died in a horrific bus crash on Interstate 10 near 7th Street.

The incident happened on Interstate 10 near 7th Street.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the incident involved a bus with 35 people onboard. Then, the force of the crash ejected one person into the roadway. Also, authorities said the bus experienced a tire failure, veered off the roadway, and struck the center median barrier.

Moreover, responders rushed the ejected passenger of the bus, identified as 39-year-old Rivera-Cruz of California, to a hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

Furthermore, paramedics said that multiple passengers of the bus sustained minor injuries and were transported to hospitals for treatment.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
