Sports Car Overturns on Highway 3 in Lewiston Killing One

 
LEWISTON, CA (May 10, 2019) – One person was killed in a crash Friday afternoon on Highway 3 in Lewiston, CHP officials said.
 
The fatal crash happened just after 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Dam Boulevard.
 
According to an initial report, a red Nissan 350Z was discovered upside-down on Trinity Dam Boulevard near the intersection with Highway 3. An ambulance unit was called to the scene and located one occupant trapped inside the overturned car.
 
Despite life-saving measures, that person was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
A coroner’s personnel was notified at 2:45 p.m. to pick up the victim’s remains.
 
Details are sparse on who was involved and what exactly transpired to cause the collision. The incident remains under investigation.
