47-Year-Old Angwin Man Identified as Driver Killed in Crash near Hoffman Lane
YOUNTVILLE, CA (March 12, 2019) – The Napa County Sheriff’s office identified 47-year-old Lewis Alexander Ort of Angwin as the driver killed in a head-on collision near Hoffman lane.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 3:30 PM. A 1992 Toyota, driven by Ort, collided with a 2004 Porsche in the north lane of Solano Avenue.
Emergency responders pronounced Ort dead at the scene at 3:50 PM. Meanwhile, a CHP helicopter transported the 54-year-old Porsche driver to Queen of the Valley Medical Center with minor injuries. Other vehicle occupants, including a young girl, did not sustain injuries in the crash.
Investigators believe that speed played a factor in the deadly collision. Additional information will be released following the conclusion of the investigation.
