Leslie Nunez Dies in State Route 94 Hit-and-Run Crash [Lemon Grass, CA]

Lemon Grass Accident Kills Female Driver

Lemon Grass, CA (December 24, 2022) – At around 8:25 a.m. on Friday, Leslie Nunez, 25, of El Cajon, died in a State Route 94 hit-and-run crash.

According to the authorities, Nunez was driving west on the freeway near College Avenue when a black sedan moving in the same direction struck her vehicle and several others.

Nunez’s car was pushed off the freeway into an embankment and into vehicles on the College Avenue off-ramp. Unfortunately, Nunez was thrown out of the vehicle during the collision and died before she was transported to a hospital.

Nunez does not have any passenger when the crash took place.

Meanwhile, the sedan driver continued driving after the collisions but the authorities later detained the suspect. 

Investigating officers said alcohol and drugs are being investigated as possible factors in the Lemon Grass accident.
