2 Killed in Watsonville Auto Accident on Maher Road
WATSONVILLE, CA (October 11, 2022) – Early Monday morning, Leslie Gonzalez Frias suffered injuries in a deadly crash on Maher Road.
The incident occurred at about 5:10 a.m. on Maher Road.
According to reports, a Ford Explorer traveled west and crossed into oncoming traffic. Then, it crashed head-on with a Nissan Pathfinder.
As a result, both occupants of the Pathfinder succumbed to injuries at the scene.
At this time, their identities remained undisclosed. However, the authorities revealed that the driver was a 68-year-old man and the passenger was a 63-year-old woman.
Moreover, they identified the Explorer driver as 20-year-old Leslie Gonzalez Frias of Watsonville. After the crash, she sustained major injuries.
Furthermore, the authorities temporarily closed Maher Road and set up two-way traffic control.
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
