20-Year-Old Banning Man Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on West Ramsey Street
BANNING, CA (December 8, 2019) – A man was killed in a pedestrian hit-and-run crash late Sunday afternoon in Banning.
The fatal incident happened around 5:30 p.m. in the 5000 block of West Ramsey Street at Apex Street.
According to Banning police, the man was walking at the intersection when a vehicle struck him. The involved driver did not stop to render aid.
As a result, the pedestrian sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. The Riverside County Coroner’s Office identified the victim Monday as Leron Sanders, 20, of Banning.
At this time, police are still investigating the incident and on the lookout for the suspect.
