Nathaniel Wills Charged with Murder for Death of Leon Parks Jr. in Oxnard Accident
OXNARD, CA (January 28, 2021) – In January, 71-year-old Leon Parks Jr. died and three others suffered injuries in a crash on North Rose Avenue.
The deadly Oxnard accident occurred at 7:40 a.m., on North Rose Avenue and Cesar Chavez Drive.
According to reports, a 2004 Kia Rio went off the road and crashed into a tree. As a result, a 71-year-old male passenger died at the scene.
Meanwhile, three other occupants, a male driver, 32, and two passengers, 21 and 36, remained stuck in the wreckage.
Thus, responders freed them and took them to a local hospital.
However, medics listed them all in critical condition.
Moreover, the initial investigation revealed that speed played a role in the incident.
Later reports in March revealed that 32-year-old Nathaniel Wills, who drove the vehicle, was charged with second-degree murder by the Ventura County Superior Court.
Also, they urged anyone with information about the incident to call Officer Adam Aguilar at 805-385-7750.
For anonymous tipsters, they may contact Ventura County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or via www.oxnardpd.org.
Our deepest sympathies are extended to the family and friends mourning the death of Leon Parks Junior.
