Phoenix, AZ (November 28, 2021) – Early Sunday morning, a pedestrian identified as a 45-year-old Leo Montenegro died in a crash on 27th Avenue and Camelback Road.
 
The fatal crash in Phoenix happened at around 3 a.m. on November 28.
 
Phoenix Police said an SUV driven by a man was traveling northbound on 27th Avenue when it struck a pedestrian.
 
EMS then took Montenegro to the hospital but he later died.
 
The SUV driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the officers.
 
Further investigation into this fatal crash is ongoing.
