Lenard Coleman of Nixon Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on State Highway 123 [San Marcos, TX]

San Marcos, TX (June 22, 2023) – Just before 1 a.m. on Wednesday, 69-year-old Lenard Coleman, of Nixon, sustained fatal injuries in a hit-and-run crash on State Highway.

SMPD said 69-year-old Lenard Green Coleman, of Nixon, Texas, was pronounced dead on the scene.

Investigating officers said a delivery truck first hit the victim. The driver did not stop to help him, but they’ve been identified but not charged yet.

Moreover, SMPD also stated that after that initial accident, a silver SUV drove from Ebony Street turned left on the freeway and struck Coleman

That driver also did not stop.

SMPD said that person lives in the neighborhood and the officers are asking the public for any detail that can help identify the driver of the SUV.
