5 in Custody in Petaluma Auto Accident on Lakeville Highway and South McDowell
PETALUMA, CA (August 25, 2021) – Tuesday, authorities arrested Lena Ford, Kenneth Temple, and three others after a crash on Lakeville Highway.
According to authorities, the incident started at around 6:30 p.m. The suspects left an Ultra Beauty on Kenilworth Drive with over $10,000 worth of stolen merchandise.
Reports revealed that an officer attempted to stop the group. However, the suspects fled away in a black Acura sedan with paper license plates. Then, the officer chased the vehicle but lost sight of it near Casa Grande Road.
Just moments later, the same officer responded to a three-vehicle crash that involved the suspect’s vehicle. The second incident happened at the intersection of Lakeville Highway and South McDowell.
Furthermore, officers said that the Acura ran a red light. Then, it struck a pickup truck that collided with another vehicle. Afterward, two occupants of the Acura fled the scene on foot after the crash.
Moreover, responders transported the driver of the third vehicle to a hospital with minor injuries. The occupants of the pickup truck were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Meanwhile, officers managed to apprehend the suspects the fled the scene of the crash. They found one at an apartment complex on Indigo Drive and the other at a gas station. Responders took four of the five suspects to a hospital for treatment.
Also, 23-year-old Lena Ford of Oakland, 27-year-old Kenneth Temple, 22-year-old Mariah Senegal, 28-year-old Rashad Brinson of Oakley, and 22-year-old Anthony Sterling will all be facing charges of burglary and conspiracy. Authorities all booked them at Sonoma County Jail.
